Best Place for Large Black River Rocks Vase Filler = Target

Hey!

I found the large black river rocks @ Target!
This is the first time I have ever seen them here. Normally they are out, so they seem to be quite popular.

I figure we may have to have these as backup in case Pat is unable to supply ALL the black river rocks, since we will be needing a lot (for centerpieces, ceremony, and various other places)

Its only $3.99 for 5lbs!
They aren't as pretty as the ones Pat supplied, but as long as they aren't next to the ones she's supplying, no one should notice

Centerpieces & $.99 Gerberas @ Michaels

****Note: Maybe we should consider having fake flowers for either the ceremony, centerpieces, or other decor. I went to Michaels yesterday and the $2.99 gerberas, nice ones were on sale for $0.99! I didn't notice it till I saw the reciept! Maybe we should just go and buy them out! Since they are so cheap. I think its some kind of Easter Special and won't last long. The yellow isn't exactly the marigold, but its the closest thing.
- would have gone and bought them out yesterday, but I honestly don't have the funds.
-i also saw adorable wired ribbon that Jeanne and I made the xmas bows out of @ Michaels. I was telling Jeanne this might be a good idea for the chairs, instead of the tissue paper. Since the tissue paper was a bit pricey and I couldn't find the exact color I needed. Also, I think bows are a little more classy.

-----

So I think this is how I would like the Centerpieces to look like:

*In the center, we will have 3 gerberas in the 3 colors (Fuschia, bright orange, and marigold)
Most likely in a Looza bottle, since we know now that we will be getting then for free.
-at the bottom will be big, black river rocks
-the Ribbon around the brim will be the same ribbon as the ribbon tied around the silverware, w a black napkin.

*There will be 3 votives around the center, w/mini black river rocks (I bought these @ Michaels yesterday) since the big ones don't fit in the votives. Also, I think they add texture, being in different sizes. The candles will be floating on water, w/the river rocks @ the bottom.
-the votive holders come from IKEA, and are called "GALEJ." (We will need 3 per table.)
-the mini black river rocks can come from anywhere. The ones I got were $3for a bag, and it looks like they can cover 3-4 tables worth
-The Floating candles are IVORY, not white, and come from IKEA. They are called "FENOMEN" and come in a box of 24.
(We will need extras @ the tables or w Mieke, since I do not know how long they will last, I'm guess ing someone needs to be in charge of replacing/refilling them after 2-3hrs, depending on when they are lit)

*On the outside, there will be 3 looza bottles w/ water
(Obviously someone has to be in charge for re-filling the water)
-there will be ice, and sliced fresh fruit that picks up the wedding colors. I'm guessing limes (for the lime green), oranges (for the orange), lemons (for the marigold) and maybe grapefruit or strawberries (for the fuschia)

*Flatware will be wrapped in a black Napkin (not white) and tied w the corresponding Ribbon on the Jar w/the 3 Gerberas
-the ribbon wil be suppied by the florist, I have ordered it already and it should come in sometime towards the end of the week
-the black napkins come from IKEA, and come in packs of 50
(Rolling the flatware can be something the girls help me do during our "assembly line and wine" which will take place a few hours either before or
After the shower.)

Hey Anne,
Not a big deal at all if this doesn't work, but are you available to meet me at the farm either tomorrow or Sunday instead of Monday evening? I'll be up toward that direction tomorrow morning anyway and free after about 11-11:30...would that work for you? Thanks!

Hey Jamie!

I feel much better after having gotten off the phone with you!  I am looking forward to meeting you again at the farm on monday.

Directions:
-Hop onto 29NORTH towards Ruckersville
-TURN LEFT @ CEDER GROVE ROAD (the first light in Ruckersville (by the sheetz on the right and food lion and bbt bank on the left)
-CONTINUE STRAIGHT, the road becomes ADVANCE MILLS ROAD
-After 2 or 3 miles VEER RIGHT at the FORK in the road
-It's the 1st driveway on the LEFT after the double yellow line in the middle of the road disappears there's a white pickett fence entrance and a big red sign that says "GUILFORD FARM - 743 Welsh Run Road"
(After you pass the technicolor plant on your left, its the 1st driveway on the left.  If you see the Guildford Farm subdivision (2nd Guilford farm sign) you've gone too far.  and if you hit a dirt road, then you've gone too far)

BridesMaids Attire for May 15, 2010

Hello Ladies!

The time has come!!!

I'm so excited that all of you are going to be a part of my big day.  Everything has been very stressful lately....but I guess that's just the way that it goes.  I'm sure it's all gonna be worth it in the end!  It is an honor, pleasure and privilege for you all to be a part of my wedding party.  I'm so excited!

So here's the 411 about the attire for the big day....

DRESS:
Butter By Nadia Wrap Dress in BLACK SATIN...(Purchasing details to come)
  http://www.shopbutterbynadia.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=4

It's a WRAP DRESS.  What's super cool is that each bridesmaid can wear it differently depending on her tastes to best suit/flatter her body style.  It's SUPER CUTE and best of all, you can wear it AGAIN and again and again for different occasions in different ways - so it's not a one-time-only nasty bridesmaid dress in silk taffeta that you know is hideous on you and you'll never wear again!  Also, I hear the fabric is AMAZING.  It's flow - and airy and very comfy.  It's also stretchy and supportive.
I am currently in trying to contact the designer to get a group rate.  When I talked to her initially a few months ago she mentioned something about 10% OFF?  So I am going to see if I can negotiate the best deal possible.  So DO NOT YET BUY THE DRESS!  I will be sending you all out the GROUP NUMBER and/or promo code SHORTLY.

SHOES:

Rampage Nicki Printed Fabric Pump - in Black and white polka dots, super cute!
http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?productRef=SEARCH&category=&prodId=202914
I would recommend getting them ASAP before they run out of your size.  Looks like they are popular, and right now, apparently on sale!
***Please email me back ASAP w/your shoe size, for my records!

NAIL POLISH:
Feel free to wear clear, or nothing!  If you wanted to do a French Manicure, that would be cool.  If you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to do a color, PLEASE only Neutral light color or clearish.  Nothing too bright, dark, or ostentatious please!

HAIR:
Most likely everyone will just have it DOWN, relaxed and natural so that you can run your fingers through it.  Please no plastic doo-hickies or ostentatious rhinestones.  Most likely I will have everyone blow dry their hair the way they normally do(if you even blow dry it, or straighten it or whatever, if not, no big deal), everyday, simple and elegant.  I would like to keep things SIMPLE and NOT complicated.
If for some reason that changes (which I highly doubt) but if it does, no worries or stressing out about your hair cuz I will most likely have someone do it so that everyone has the same hairstyle (ie, half up, up or whatever).  Again, this is highly unlikely but just in case it's majorly crazy windy that day, at least I wanted to give you all a heads up.  So don't worry to much about your hair.

JEWELRY:
Not necessary.  As far as earrings go, if you absolutely HAVE to wear earrings, studs are fine, but nothing dangly and ostentatious please.
Necklaces are also not necessary, I think a bare neck is tasteful, sexy, and goes with the tone of the wedding.  So, leave your necklace at home!
The theme of the wedding is SIMPLE and un-cluttered, so less is more! :)

Please feel free to email/call me with any questions!  Much love, xoxo

Hey tommy. So excited you are coming! It will be good to see you again. I will get started looking for the sound stuff. I think I know some people who can help me out with it.
Address of wedding. Guildford farm. 743 welsh run road. Ruckersville, va 22968. You will probably start between 6 and 7pm on saturday, may 15th. As far as dress there are no requirements. Just look nice and be comfortable. It is a wedding so most will be dressed up but no tux requirements or anything like that.
We will probably provide transportation from the airport and back there for you. You can either drive our bmw or mercedes while you are here unless you are totally opposed to that. Also I have been looking at flights which I would like to get soon and we need to talk about. I guess that is all for now. Let's talk soon for further details and contract info. Have a good day. Nate

Hey Nate, I sent this to Anne 4 both of U, but I'm sending it to you as well to make sure you got it.

Hi Anne & Nate, looking forward to playing for your reception in May. Could you guys please provide me with the following details: Address of the event, approximate time I will start (6:p.m.?), & what the general attire will be for the guests. I will put together a simple letter of agreement, & together we can tweak it for any details I might miss.
Also, if you could start looking into the rental of a P.A. system, I have not rented one in years, so I have no idea of the costs (?). I would suggest getting a few different quoats, & or look into someone who might own one to loan or rent for less? I will be needing (at least) two speaker cabinets that have a 15 inch speaker & a built in horn, + a (at least) 8 channel POWERED mixer with on board effects. Some times DJ's have extra stuff to rent? Just a thought. I can do some calling if  you'll get me some #'s.
If you can get me started with the 1st info, there is no urgency with the sound stuff. We can talk by phone in the weeks/months leading up to the date regarding other things. I believe it will be best if you can get me a rent a car for 2 or so days, & if it works out that I stay any longer, I will swallow the expense of any extra days? Unless you think Robbie want's to be my Homey/Driver Helper Boy?

Thanx again, I look forward to this one,  Tommy Rox

Bride and Groom Wedding Cake Topper

Mom,
Isn't this idea the cutest? Since they can be quite expensive, maybe Lucia Serra would be willing to paint one for us!
Just a thought!
Maybe even my boss amy! She is such a talented artist, and loves to paint!
